About aiagents.org.uk

aiagents.org.uk is an independent, plain-English guide to AI agents for people and small businesses in the UK. It explains what agents are, what they cost in pounds, what UK GDPR and the ICO expect, and how to run AI privately on your own computer. It is not a directory, not a news site, and not owned by any AI vendor.

Who writes it

The site is written by Annie (Andrea), a search and digital marketing specialist. She began in advertising at national newspapers and magazines, including Trinity Mirror, Hearst and Emap, and has since spent twenty years in search, lead generation, affiliate marketing and ad tech, on the agency, client and publisher side, for global brands and start-ups. Most recently she worked in growth for an AI agent platform, which is where the idea for this site came from: the people who most need a clear explanation of AI agents are the ones nobody was writing for.

How the guides are made

  • Every guide answers its question in the first few lines, then gives the detail.
  • Every figure links to its source, with the date it was published.
  • Prices are checked, dated and given in sterling where possible.
  • Pages on UK law are checked against the legislation and the ICO's own publications, and say plainly that they are not legal advice.
  • Pages are updated when the facts change, and show when they were last checked.

The full rules, including how AI tools are used in drafting, are in the editorial policy.

Independence

No vendor pays for coverage and no review is sponsored. The deals pages use affiliate links where a seller runs an affiliate programme the site has joined; every page that carries them is labelled "Ad" at the top, and commission never decides what is included or how it is rated. How that works is set out in the editorial policy.
