Brew is an email marketing platform from New York that builds on-brand campaigns and automated flows from a plain-English brief, then sends them from your own domain. It suits founders and small teams with no designer or email marketer. There is a free plan with 1,000 sends a month, and Growth costs $99 (about £74) a month. It was #1 Product of the Day and of the Week on Product Hunt in May 2026. My verdict: polished and fast-moving, but pricey once you outgrow free. ★★★½☆ 3.5/5.

What is Brew?
Brew is a full email marketing service with an AI designer built in. You paste your website address, and it reads your logo, colours, fonts, images and writing style. It saves what it finds as two brand files you can edit. Every email it makes starts from those files.

You describe the email you want, and it appears on a canvas ready to edit by hand or in chat. You can also start from a template, a Figma frame, your own HTML or an email you forward in. Brew then sends it from your own domain, now, on a schedule or at each contact's likeliest open time, and shows opens, clicks and bounces.
The agent part is in the automations and checks. Connect Stripe, Shopify or your signup form, describe the flow, and Brew builds the emails, the waits and the branches. It checks your domain health and inbox placement before you send, and its Insights feature ranks problems it spots in your sending. You can also run all of this from Claude or ChatGPT over MCP, where campaign sends stop for your approval first.

How it did on Product Hunt
Brew finished first on its launch day and first for the week, then fourth for the whole of May 2026.
| Launch | Date | Daily rank | Other awards | Upvotes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brew: Like Claude design for email marketing | 26 May 2026 | #1 Product of the Day | #1 Product of the Week (week of 25 May 2026); #4 Product of the Month (May 2026) | 873 |
Upvotes as shown on Product Hunt's product page on 17 October 2026.
That is a convincing win. Brew had more than twice the votes of the second product on the day. Fourth for May put it just behind Kilo Code, StoreClaw and PollyReach, in a busy month for AI agent launches.
What Product Hunt users said
- The review score is 5.0 from 3 reviews. One reviewer said they send over 2 million emails a month through it, with about 20 campaigns and more than 100 automated flows.
- The interface gets the most praise. Some compared it to Lovable, the AI app builder, and several praised how emails render in Outlook.
- Requests at launch were for an MCP server and an API so AI agents could drive it, and for editable blocks inside Klaviyo. The makers said MCP and API work was under way, and the changelog shows MCP arrived in June 2026.
- One first-time user had a rough start: a key press that did not register, too many features at once, and a long prompt that returned nothing. The makers blamed a 2,000-character prompt limit and said they had raised it.
How much does Brew cost?
Brew charges by AI use and sends, not by the size of your contact list, and team members are free on every plan.

| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 500 AI credits (about 50 generated emails) and 1,000 sends a month, 3 brand workspaces, unlimited sending domains, basic AI models, Brew watermark on emails |
| Growth | $99 (about £74) a month | 10,000 AI credits and 50,000 sends a month, 10 brands, latest AI models, no watermark, HTML download, priority support |
| Pro | $249 (about £187) a month | 25,000 AI credits and 200,000 sends a month, 50 brands, everything in Growth |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom volumes, unlimited brands, dedicated account manager, optional migration support |
The terms say fees exclude VAT and similar taxes, which Brew or Stripe may add. I found no annual discount. AI credits reset each month and do not roll over.
What I like
- Pasting your website gives you on-brand emails straight away, and the brand files it writes are plain documents you can correct.
- Pricing ignores list size, and every plan has unlimited team members and sending domains, which helps a growing list.
- The deliverability tools are serious for a young product: a domain health score, gradual warm-up, inbox placement tests and previews in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail.
- You are not locked in. Exporting a design to Mailchimp, Klaviyo or HubSpot is free, and you can export your contacts at any time.
- The legal pages are thorough for a startup: a subprocessor list updated in October 2026, a data processing addendum with the UK transfer addendum, and a GDPR page.
- It ships quickly. Since launch it has added MCP, transactional email, a command-line tool, Slack and Insights, and widened the approval checks for agent actions.
What I'd want fixed
- The jump from free to $99 a month is steep for a small business with a modest list.
- Free-plan emails carry a Brew watermark, and Brew may use samples from free accounts to train its own models.
- There are no security certifications yet; the security page says the programme is in development, and multi-factor login is still only planned.
- Sign-up needs a business email address, so a sole trader on Gmail cannot join.
- Prices are in dollars only, and data is mainly stored in the United States.
Who should use it?
Brew suits a founder or small marketing team selling online, especially through Shopify or Stripe, who wants good-looking newsletters and welcome flows without hiring a designer. It is strict about consent and is not for cold outreach, which I see as a good sign. If you run a local business with a few hundred contacts and a tight budget, start with Brevo, whose free plan sends up to 300 emails a day.
Is it safe to use? Privacy and permissions
- Brew needs your contact list, a verified sending domain and, if you use automations, a connection to tools such as Stripe or Shopify. It crawls the public parts of your website to learn your brand.
- Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3, and is processed mainly in the United States. AI work goes to providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and xAI, all named on the subprocessor list.
- Paid plans are excluded from model training, but samples from free accounts may be used to train Brew-hosted models. Brew has no security certifications yet.
- The GDPR page covers UK GDPR rights, and transfers rely on the EU clauses with the UK addendum. Read my guide to AI agents and UK GDPR before uploading a customer list.
Using it in the UK
- I found no country restrictions, but you need a business email address and a domain you own to send.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT, which Brew or Stripe may collect where required.
- Data sits mainly in the US, and Brew says to contact it if you have data residency needs.
Other launches from the same team
- None found. The makers' Product Hunt profiles list only this Brew launch.
Alternatives to Brew
- Mailchimp - pick it if you want the familiar choice with a free plan for up to 250 contacts and paid plans from an introductory $13 a month, though its generative AI needs the Standard plan or above.
- Brevo - pick it if you want a free plan that sends up to 300 emails a day, with an AI content generator on its paid Starter plan.
- Loops - pick it if you run a software business and want marketing and transactional email together; its free plan covers sends to your first 1,000 subscribed contacts.
My verdict
| Area | Score |
|---|---|
| Usefulness | 4/5 |
| Getting started | 4/5 |
| Value for money | 3/5 |
| Trust and privacy | 3/5 |
| UK fit | 3/5 |
| Overall | ★★★½☆ 3.5/5 |
I would try Brew on the free plan for a launch email or a welcome flow, because the brand extraction alone saves hours. I would only pay $99 a month once I was sending enough to need it. I would also wait for multi-factor login before giving a team access to a large customer list.
Frequently asked questions
Is Brew free?
Yes. The free plan includes 500 AI credits, which Brew says is enough for about 50 generated emails, plus 1,000 sends a month and three brands. Emails carry a Brew watermark, and no credit card is needed. Paid plans start at $99 (about £74) a month.
Does Brew train AI on my data?
Only on the free plan. Brew's security page says it may use limited samples from free accounts to train or fine-tune its own models, and that paid plans are excluded. Your data is encrypted and stored mainly in the United States.
Brew vs Mailchimp: which is better for a small business?
It depends on your list and budget. Mailchimp's free plan covers 250 contacts and 500 sends a month, and its paid plans start lower, at an introductory $13 a month. Brew's free plan gives 1,000 sends with no contact limit and AI design built in, but its first paid plan is $99. I have not tested either side by side.
