Salesforce AgentExchange is the marketplace where Salesforce and Slack customers find agents, apps, MCP servers and consultants. It is built for businesses that already run on Salesforce. Browsing is free and many listings cost nothing, but you need a Salesforce licence first, from £20 a user a month, and agents usually add Agentforce usage costs. Every listing passes a Salesforce security review, which is a real strength. For a UK small business without Salesforce, it is the wrong place to start. I rate it 3.5 out of 5.
Key facts
- What it is: Salesforce's single marketplace for agents, agent actions, skills, MCP servers, apps, Slack apps and consultants that extend Salesforce and Slack.
- Made by: Salesforce, Inc. of San Francisco, listed on the New York Stock Exchange (CRM). It has no parent company.
- Launched: The marketplace started as AppExchange in 2005. The AgentExchange name arrived in March 2025. In April 2026 AppExchange, Slack Marketplace and the Agentforce ecosystem were merged into one marketplace called AgentExchange.
- Size: More than 13,000 solutions and 187,000 customer reviews, with 232 listings in the Agentforce section (checked 16 October 2026).
- Price: Free to browse. More than a third of apps are free. Paid listings set their own prices, for example from $82 (about £62) a user a month. You also need a Salesforce licence, from £20 a user a month.
- Best for: Businesses that already use Salesforce or Slack and have someone to run the admin side.
- Available in the UK: Yes. Salesforce sells its own products in GBP in the UK. The partner listing prices I saw were in US dollars.
- Seller commission: A percentage of net revenue under Salesforce's partner agreement. Salesforce publishes a 15% rate only for sales through AgentExchange Checkout. SalesforceBen reported 15% for most apps and 25% for OEM apps in 2023, but Salesforce has not confirmed these figures.

What is Salesforce AgentExchange?
AgentExchange is Salesforce's store for add-ons. It lists ready-made agents, smaller "actions" and "subagents" that teach Agentforce a new job, MCP servers that connect agents to other systems, classic Salesforce apps, Slack apps and consulting firms. Most Salesforce listings install straight into your Salesforce org.
In April 2026 Salesforce merged AppExchange, Slack Marketplace and the Agentforce ecosystem into one marketplace under the AgentExchange name. A later 2026 update refreshed the site. It added skills and plugins as a listing type, a single approval flow for installs and an AI overview that suggests solutions from a plain-English description.
Skills and plugins are the newest part. They are instruction packages that teach an agent a task, and they work in Claude, Codex and Cursor as well as Agentforce. For now every skill and plugin listed is built by Salesforce. Salesforce says partner-built skills will follow, with a skills marketplace for partners planned for the first half of 2027.
Who owns Salesforce AgentExchange?
- AgentExchange is run by Salesforce, Inc. It has no parent company.
- Marc Benioff is co-founder, chair and CEO.
- Headquarters: Salesforce Tower, 415 Mission Street, San Francisco.
- Salesforce is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker CRM.
- Salesforce opened in 1999. Its marketplace launched in 2005.
- Tyler Carlson is SVP and Head of Product for AgentExchange and the partner ecosystem.
How popular is Salesforce AgentExchange?
AgentExchange is one of the largest business software marketplaces, but most of it is apps rather than agents.
- More than 13,000 solutions and more than 187,000 customer reviews, according to the homepage (checked 16 October 2026).
- 232 listings in the Agentforce section, covering actions, subagents, agents and MCP servers (checked 16 October 2026).
- At the April 2026 merger, Salesforce counted more than 1,000 Agentforce agents, subagents, tools and MCP servers, plus more than 2,600 Slack apps and agents.
- Salesforce says 91% of its customers have at least one app from the marketplace (2026).
- More than 170 Salesforce-built skills and plugins were listed after the autumn 2026 update.
- Similarweb's public page, dated September 2026, shows about 371,500 visits over the last three months for appexchange.salesforce.com, where listing pages live, and about 30,400 for the newer agentexchange.salesforce.com front page.
How much does Salesforce AgentExchange cost?
Browsing is free. What you pay depends on your Salesforce licence, your Agentforce usage and the listing itself.
| Plan or fee | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free listings | Free | More than a third of apps, including Salesforce Labs agents such as ForceGuard AI |
| Salesforce Starter Suite | £20 a user a month | Entry-level CRM for small teams; transaction fees apply |
| Salesforce Pro Suite | £80 a user a month, annual contract | Fuller CRM for growing teams |
| Agentforce Flex Credits | £400 per 100,000 credits | Pay per action; a standard agent action uses 20 credits, which works out at 8p |
| Agentforce User Licence | £4 a user a month | Per-user access to Agentforce; needs Flex Credits |
| Agentforce Conversations | £1.60 a conversation | Customer-facing agents |
| Agentforce add-ons for Sales, Service and Field Service | $125 (about £94) a user a month | Unmetered employee use |
| Paid partner listing, example | From $82 (about £62) a user a month | Natterbox AI contact centre |
Salesforce's UK pricing pages do not say whether VAT is included.
Partners pay Salesforce a percentage of net revenue. Salesforce takes 15% on sales through AgentExchange Checkout but does not publish its general rate. In 2023 SalesforceBen reported 15% for most apps and 25% for OEM apps, which Salesforce has not confirmed.
Hidden costs
- A Salesforce licence. Agentforce agents run inside a Salesforce org, so you need a paid licence first. Salesforce Foundations, the free Agentforce starter, only works on Enterprise Edition or above.
- Agentforce usage. Agents spend Flex Credits at £400 per 100,000. Unused credits do not roll over, and usage over your allowance is billed monthly in arrears.
- The partner's own product. Many agents need a paid subscription to the partner's software. AI Accounting Agents, for example, needs a paid Accounting Seed add-on.
- Slack partner licences. Salesforce says Slack customers must get their own licence from the partner to use a partner-built Slack app or agent.
- Outside services. Salesforce warns that some solutions rely on an external service you must also have access to.

Selling your agent on Salesforce AgentExchange
- Who can list: Salesforce partners. You sign up to the Partner Community and fill in a due diligence questionnaire. Partner Operations and Salesforce Legal review it, then you become a Provisional Partner.
- Approval: Software partners sign a commercial agreement for their distribution model and must pass Salesforce's security review before the listing goes live.
- Commission: Salesforce takes a percentage of net revenue, starting after your first revenue report. Partners that hit an average order value benchmark can get lower rates on later bookings. Salesforce publishes only its 15% rate for AgentExchange Checkout sales. In 2023 SalesforceBen reported 15% and 25% (OEM), which Salesforce has not confirmed.
- Getting paid: Through private offers, customers can buy through Salesforce on one consolidated bill. Salesforce plans public offers for the second half of 2027.
- Support for builders: Salesforce announced a $50 million (about £37.6 million) AgentExchange Builders Initiative in April 2026. Community builders can also share free, open-source work through Trailblazer Labs.
What other people rate it
- I found no reliable G2, Capterra or Trustpilot rating for the marketplace itself. G2 has a page called "Salesforce Appexchange", but it describes a third-party search app, so I have not used it.
- G2 rates Salesforce Agentforce, the agent platform behind the store, 4.3/5 from 1,696 reviews (checked 16 October 2026).
- Trustpilot rates Salesforce as a company 1.3/5 from 660 reviews (checked 16 October 2026).
- Inside the store, each listing carries its own reviews. Natterbox, for example, shows 4.84 from 211 reviews.
What's good
- Every solution goes through a Salesforce Security Review that tests data handling, secure coding and reliability.
- An admin install approval flow lets your technical lead approve or refuse install requests in one place.
- More than a third of apps are free, including useful Salesforce Labs agents.
- Many listings offer a test drive or free trial, and Salesforce recommends installing into a free Developer Edition org or sandbox first.
- Listings now show requirements, certifications, access details and support information before you install.
- Salesforce publishes Agentforce prices in GBP for the UK.
What's not so good
- It is of little use without Salesforce, and the free Agentforce starter needs Enterprise Edition or above.
- Costs stack up: Salesforce licence, Agentforce credits and often a partner subscription.
- Partner prices I saw were in US dollars, and the UK pricing pages do not mention VAT.
- Public offers are not due until the second half of 2027, so paid listings are usually bought from the partner or through a private offer.
- Salesforce does not publish its main commission rates for sellers.
Who is it for?
Use it if your business already runs on Salesforce or Slack and you have an admin or partner who can test agents in a sandbox. It is a sensible, well-vetted place to add agents to a CRM you already pay for.
Skip it if you do not use Salesforce. A sole trader or small team looking for a ready-made agent will pay for a CRM licence and agent credits before they get any value.
Using it in the UK
- AgentExchange works from the UK. Salesforce's UK site sells its own products in GBP, including Starter Suite at £20 and Pro Suite at £80 a user a month.
- The UK pricing pages do not say whether VAT is included. Partner listings set their own prices, and those I saw were in US dollars.
- Salesforce's Hyperforce lets customers choose where their org runs, including the UK. Salesforce says data is generally stored in the org's country when the services you use are available there, but some products rely on components or integrations elsewhere.
- Third-party listings can send data to outside services. Check each listing's security tab and access details before you install.
Interesting facts about Salesforce AgentExchange
- Salesforce's own company timeline now says it launched "AgentExchange" in 2005, even though the marketplace was called AppExchange for its first 20 years.
- Salesforce says 91% of its customers have at least one app from the marketplace.
- Tottenham Hotspur's chief technology and digital officer credits AgentExchange solutions with helping the club run automated fan service across email, voice, chat, SMS and WhatsApp.
- The store now lists Salesforce plugins for Claude, such as Sales Cloud in Claude, which was in beta in October 2026.
Alternatives to Salesforce AgentExchange
- Microsoft Agent Store - pick it if your team works in Microsoft 365 and Teams rather than Salesforce.
- HubSpot agent marketplace - pick it if HubSpot is your CRM.
- ServiceNow AI agent marketplace - pick it if your service desk and IT workflows run on ServiceNow.

AgentExchange is a large, carefully vetted marketplace and a natural choice for Salesforce customers. For a UK small business that does not already use Salesforce, the licence and credit costs make it hard to justify.
Frequently asked questions
Is Salesforce AgentExchange free?
Browsing is free and more than a third of apps cost nothing. You still need a paid Salesforce licence, and agents usually use Agentforce credits at £400 per 100,000.
What happened to Salesforce AppExchange?
In April 2026 Salesforce merged AppExchange, Slack Marketplace and the Agentforce ecosystem into AgentExchange. Listing pages still sit on the appexchange.salesforce.com address.
Can I use AgentExchange agents without Salesforce?
Not really. Agentforce agents and actions install into a Salesforce org, and Slack listings need Slack. The Salesforce skills and plugins for Claude also connect to Salesforce data.
